Takuma Sato in verband gebracht met Scuderia Toro Rosso

Takuma Sato is volgens Motorsport Aktuell in de running voor een racestoeltje bij Scuderia Toro Rosso voor 2009. De Italiaanse renstal heeft nog geen rijders bevestigd voor volgend seizoen en neemt sowieso afscheid van Sebastian Vettel.

Scuderia Toro Rosso-eigenaar Gerhard Berger liet eerder al blijken dat zijn ideale duo bestaat uit een coureur met ervaring en een jonge talentvolle rijder. Sato moet die eerste rol invullen. Bovendien kan de Japanner van dienst zijn voor Red Bull bij het veroveren van de Japanse markt.
