Rosberg niet overtuigd van titelkansen bij Williams

Nico Rosberg is er niet van overtuigd dat hij bij Williams op de goede plek zit om voor het kampioenschap mee te strijden. De 23-jarige Duitser gaat in 2009 zijn vierde seizoen in bij Williams, maar wil niet denken aan een kampioenschap.

Rosberg: "Dat is niet aan de orde op dit moment. We hebben andere problemen om op te lossen. Het is nu belangrijk het team weer op het goede spoor te krijgen. Volgend seizoen hebben we veel reglementswijzigingen dus het is een belangrijk dat we dan met een goede auto komen."

Rosberg kan het niet laten nog even te benadrukken dat zijn toekomst bij Williams ligt. "Ik rij bij Williams. Tenminste, volgend seizoen. Wat er daarna gebeurd zien we dan wel weer."

Williams begon het seizoen sterk met een podium voor Rosberg in Australië, maar sindsdien is het team ver weggezakt. Momenteel staat Williams zevende bij de constructeurs met 16 punten.
