Valencia werkt laatste problemen stratencircuit weg

De organisatie van de Grand Prix van Europa is druk doende om de laatste kinderziektes aan het Circuito Urbano de Valencia weg te poetsen. Carlos Gracia, voorzitter van de Spaanse autosportbond, wanhoopt echter niet. De stad en het circuit zijn in het weekend van 24 augustus klaar voor de eerste Formule 1-race in Valencia.

Gracia in AS: Zoals verwacht en net als bij alle andere nieuwe circuits maken we nog wat opstartproblemen mee, maar die zijn zeker verholpen voor het Grand Prix-weekend. Het belangrijkste is dat de wil om de moeilijkheden op te lossen aanwezig is en we weten wat we moeten doen. Het Circuito Urbano de Valencia zou kampen met problemen aan de techniek en het asfalt. Gracia belooft dat daar tijdens het raceweekend niks van te merken zal zijn.
