Spa-Francorchamps noteert 3,3 miljoen verlies

De Grand Prix van België op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps is financieel geen geweldig succes geworden. Het Belgische persagentschap Belga bericht dat de race een miljoenenverlies heeft opgeleverd. De organisatie staat volgens Belga na de Grand Prix ongeveer 3,3 miljoen euro in de min.

    Logisch, iedereen had al een kater na de zeer discutabele beslissing van de FIA dus er was weinig reden tot het vieren van een feestje. Dat ze dat nou niet snappen.....

    €3.300.000,- verlies voor 1 van de mooiste circuits van de F1, hoeveel verlies lijden al die andere circuits dan wel niet. Of krijgen ze Spa niet uitverkocht omdat de kaarten zo duur zijn en verdienen ze daarom geen geld.
    Of optie 2 (heel logisch) hefft B. Ecclestone de prijzen zo hoog zitten dat je geen winst kan maken.

    ik ben er vrijdag even geweest:
    kaartje: 55 euro
    parkeren: 12 euro
    patatje: 5 euro (en het was een kleine...)
    blikje bier 4,50

    dus ze krijgen zat geld binnen, wellicht wil bernie een hoop....

    Spa ligt erg afgelegen, wat de kosten in de hoogte jaagt. Er is bijna geen hotelaccomodatie. De Dure prijzen en het schitterende Belgische weer maakt het live meemaken ook al niet aantrekkelijk. Het lange circuit zorgt ervoor dat je de wagens minder vaak ziet dan op andere circuits. De Waalse regering is eigenaar van de race, en die kan niet falliet gaan, wat de creativiteit van de organisatoren niet echt stimuleert... heb je nog meer redenen nodig? 1 positief punt toch... als Vlaming in het buitenland moet ik eindelijk niet meer meebetalen voor het amateurisme van de organisatie.

    Maak dan de kaartjes een stuk goedkoper, geheid dat er meer Ollaanders en Duitsers op af komen, en die geven ook allemaal de nodige euries uit aan de inwendige mens, dus wat zeuren ze nou:p

    Op de plattegrond die ik kreeg in Spa, stonden op de achterzijde alvast de prijzen voor 2009...Zo\'n 10% gestegen tov dit jaar...Dit is dus gewoon om de prijzen wederom omhoog te schroeven onder het motto \&quot;we moeten wel, we kunnen niet anders\&quot;...Geloof dan ook niet dat het werkelijk verlies zo groot is, al er al verlies is gemaakt.

    P.S. Het waren die heerlijke grote blikken Jupiler voor 4,50 toch?(heb zelf geen bier genuttigd, althans niet op het circuit, hehe)

    Het is niet de Ecclestone die de toegangsprijzen bepaalt, wel de organisatoren.
    Een GP organiseren met geld van de overheid is erg gemakkelijk, en dan heel veel geld vragen voor de toegang en parking, en zeker niet klant vriendelijk zijn, zodat alles blijft draaien rond een klein clubje van VIP\'s, eigelijk lopen de andere bezoeker gewoon in de weg, zijn lastig, veroorzaken verkeersproblemen en produceren veel afval, en moeten zeker tien maal gecontroleerd worden of ze wel de juiste toegangskaarten hebben.
    Niet te verwonderen dat vele liever voor hun TV blijft zitten, en de organisatoren vullen de put wel met belastingsgeld.
    Maar voor hun en de VIP\'s was het weer een leuk weekeindje uit.
