Titel behoort voor Kubica nog tot de mogelijkheden

In het geweld van de titelstrijd tussen het Ferrari-duo en McLaren-rijder Lewis Hamilton wordt één kandidaat vaak over het hoofd gezien. BMW Sauber-coureur Robert Kubica komt vooral de afgelopen Grands Prix niet vaak in het verhaal voor, maar de Pool is ondertussen wel geklommen naar de derde plaats in het kampioenschap.

De Pool staat zelfs boven Kimi Raikkonen. Een titel voor Kubica behoort dus tot de mogelijkheden. Voor mij geldt dat ik nog steeds mijn best doe en mag blijven hopen op de titel. Ik moet optimaal gebruik maken van fouten van de andere drie en een eventueel chaotisch raceverloop kan mij in de kaart spelen. Ik moet wel zo realistisch zijn dat zonder problemen en fouten van McLaren en Ferrari het uitermate moeilijk voor mij wordt.

Als ik eerlijk ben, krijg ik soms ook het gevoel dat ik de enige ben die zo dom of gek is om te denken dat ik de titel voor me kan opeisen. Het team richt zich met name op het constructeurkampioenschap. Zolang ik in theorie mezelf nog tot kampioen kan kronen ga ik daar vol voor en ik hoop dat BMW Sauber hetzelfde doet.
