Renault-coureur Fernando Alonso heeft een hele hoge pet op van BMW Sauber-collega Robert Kubica. De Pool is een van de snelste coureurs ter wereld en als Alonso de leiding over een team had gehad, dan had hij het wel geweten.

De Spanjaard zegt in Sport Bild: Als ik teambaas zou zijn had ik Robert Kubica aangetrokken als coureur. Waarom? Omdat hij altijd overal de snelste is. Ook in de karts versloeg hij iedereen, waaronder Nico Rosberg en Lewis Hamilton.
