Sato vol lof over Scuderia Toro Rosso-auto

Takuma Sato kroop vorige week voor het eerst sinds mei weer achter het stuur van een Formule 1-auto. De Japanner testte voor Scuderia Toro Rosso en maakt kans op een racestoeltje voor 2009. Hij blikt in GPWeek terug op zijn testdag: Dit was een van de snelste autos die ik ooit bestuurd heb.

Sato is onder de indruk geraakt van wat hij aantrof bij Scuderia Toro Rosso. Dit team was ten tijde van mijn periode bij Super Aguri toch een concurrent van ons en nu draaien ze in de top mee. De auto voelde echt geweldig. Ik vind het zeer knap dat dit team zulke grote stappen heeft weten te zetten. De werkomgeving bij Scuderia Toro Rosso is top.

En de wagen is minstens net zo goed. De STR3 is fundamenteel gewoon al heel erg snel. Het is zonder twijfel een van de snelste autos op dit moment in de Formule 1. En het gevoel dat je als coureur krijgt van zon goede bolide is ongeëvenaard.
