BMW Sauber stelt alles in het werk om Kubica aan titel te helpen

Met nog twee races te gaan maken BMW Sauber en Robert Kubica onverwachts nog kans om dit jaar al kampioen te worden. In het beleidsplan van teambaas Mario Theissen stond dat de Duitse renstal pas in 2009 mee zou moeten doen om het kampioenschap. BMW Sauber loopt voor op schema en gaat nu alles in het werk stellen om optimaal gebruik te maken van de mogelijkheid.

Technisch directeur Willy Rampf: Zolang we theoretisch gezien nog wereldkampioen kunnen worden, zullen we niet rusten. We gaan proberen te winnen en nog dingen aan te passen in de korte tijd die we hebben. In de voorbereiding zullen we ons concentreren op elk detail van de auto. Er komen geen grote upgrades meer, maar we kunnen nog wel kleine dingen wijzigen. Misschien valt er nog iets meer uit de banden te halen.
