Bourdais: "Ik kan niet lang meer wachten op besluit Toro Rosso"

Scuderia Toro Rosso wil graag wachten tot het einde van het seizoen voordat het een beslissing neemt over het duo voor 2009. Coureur Sebastien Bourdais is echter niet bereid om zo lang te wachten. De toekomst van de Fransman staat al tijden ter discussie en Scuderia Toro Rosso probeerde al alternatieven als Sebastien Buemi en Takuma Sato uit.

Bourdais wil gewoon blijven, maar dan moet de knoop snel doorgehakt worden. Anders trekt de viervoudig Champ Car-kampioen zelf zijn conclusies. Ze laten me geen andere keus. Ik ben een professionele autocoureur en ik kan niet blijven wachten. Stel dat ze in december besluiten om met iemand anders verder te gaan, dan zit ik zonder werk. Zo lang wacht ik echt niet. Ik heb een beslissing nodig en dat is alles dat ik eraan kan doen. Jammer genoeg liggen de zaken ingewikkelder dan ik zou willen en daar kan ik de prijs voor betalen. Maar veel kan ik er niet aan doen.
