Ecclestone roept titelkandidaten op tot eerlijk gevecht

Bernie Ecclestone hoopt dat het wereldkampioenschap Formule 1 2008 op een eerlijke manier op de baan uitgevochten wordt. Harde en mooie duels op de baan zijn prima, maar de commerciële baas van de koningsklasse van de autosport verwacht wel fair play.

In de krant Gulf News zegt Ecclestone: We willen ten alle tijden eerlijk spel. Racen op het scherpst van de snede mag, maar wel op een faire manier, zonder coureurs in gevaar te brengen. De hele wereld kijkt mee en wacht in spanning op de ontknoping van wat een geweldig kampioenschap is geworden. Dat mag niet verpest worden door vuile trucjes, daar gaan we hard tegen optreden.
