Kubica: "Derde plaats in WK zou voor mij geweldig zijn"

BMW Sauber-coureur Robert Kubica staat aan de vooravond van de laatste Grand Prix van zijn succesvolste seizoen tot nu toe uit zijn nog jonge Formule 1-loopbaan. Hij kan dat topjaar bekronen met een plek op het podium in de eindstand. De Pool bezet momenteel de derde plek en hij heeft alleen iets te vrezen van Ferrari-rijder Kimi Raikkonen.

Kubica: De derde plaats in het wereldkampioenschap zou voor mij geweldig zijn. Je weet ook niet of je ooit nog de kans krijgt om de tussenstand na zeven races te leiden. Constant presteren en betrouwbaarheid hebben ons lang in de titelstrijd gehouden. Ik was altijd snel en beging heel weinig fouten. Uiteraard ben ik ambitieus en geef ik altijd de volle honderd procent, maar je zal altijd het gevoel houden dat we ergens iets meer hadden kunnen doen. Hoe dan ook, we mogen tevreden zijn met wat we dit jaar bereikt hebben.
