Di Grassi: "Goed mogelijk dat ik in Formule 1 ga rijden"

Lucas di Grassi heeft zijn zinnen gezet op een racestoeltje bij Renault. De Braziliaan was dit jaar al testrijder voor de Franse renstal en maakte in de GP2 indruk door met minder races toch de derde plaats in de eindstand te realiseren. Renault geniet de eerste keus van Di Grassi, maar hij sluit een Formule 1-debuut bij een ander team niet uit.

Het is goed mogelijk dat ik in 2009 in de Formule 1 ga rijden, openbaarde de 24-jarige coureur tegenover Reuters. Het is nu aan Renault. Ze hebben de mogelijkheid om mijn contract te verlengen, dus ik wacht op hun beslissing om te weten of ik volgend jaar bij Renault zit of dat ik toestemming krijg om met andere renstallen te onderhandelen.
