Karun Chandhok begeert testzitje bij Force India

Karun Chandhok komt terug op zijn afhoudende houding ten opzichte van een testcontract bij Force India voor 2009. De Indiase coureur toonde zich eerder alleen maar beschikbaar voor een testzitje bij topteams, nu zou hij toch ervaring op willen doen bij de renstal van zijn landgenoot Vijah Mallya.

Dat meldt de Indiase krant The Telegraph. In het artikel staat dat Chandhok binnen enkele dagen bevestigd azl worden als Force India-testrijder voor 2009. Hij zou het dan combineren met een jaar racen in de GP2. Het zou ideaal zijn als Karun een volwaardige testrol bij Force India gaat bekleden. Door de testrestricties valt dat goed te combineren met een raceseizoen in de GP2, zo vertelden bronnen aan The Telegraph.
