Stirling Moss trekt Formule 1-plannen Donington Park in twijfel

Vanaf 2010 vindt de Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannië als alles volgens plan verloopt niet langer plaats op het circuit van Silverstone, maar op Donington Park. Formule 1-legende Stirling Moss betwijfelt of dat ook echt gaat gebeuren.

Tegen BBC Northampton zegt hij: Ik denk niet dat Donington het in zich heeft om de Grand Prix te organiseren, want het is echt een enorm evenement. Hebben ze überhaupt al toestemming voor hun verbouwplannen? Ik betwijfel of het ze gaat lukken.

De oud Formule 1-coureur zou dan ook graag zien dat de race op Silverstone blijft. Silverstone is geschikt voor een Grand Prix, de baan is flink verbeterd. De coureurs houden van de baan en het is er altijd spannend, aldus Moss.
