Ferrari-president uit lof voor nieuwe kampioen Hamilton

Ferrari-president Luca di Montezemolo heeft zich daags na de bizarre titelontknoping in Brazilië een waardig verliezer getoond. De Italiaan feliciteerde de nieuwe kampioen Lewis Hamilton en uitte waardering voor de prestaties van de jonge Engelsman.

Di Montezemolo: Ik wil graag mijn felicitaties overbrengen naar Hamilton, de jongste wereldkampioen Formule 1 ooit. Hij heeft zich een zeer krachtige rivaal getoond en zijn titel, hoe nipt het ook was, is verdiend. Hij rijdt volgend jaar met het startnummer 1 op de auto, maar van één ding kan hij zeker zijn: wij gaan er alles aan doen om dat startnummer in 2010 weer op een Ferrari te laten staan.
