Sebastien Buemi is favoriet om Sebastian Vettel bij het team van Scuderia Toro Rosso op te volgen. De Zwitser moet de talentvolle Duitser doen vergeten. Het gevecht om het tweede racestoeltje bij de Italiaanse renstal lijkt zich toe te spitsen op twee kanshebbers.

Sebastien Bourdais hoopt zijn plek bij Scuderia Toro Rosso te behouden, maar krijgt daarbij stevige concurrentie van Takuma Sato. Beide heren testen volgende week in Barcelona anderhalve dag. Buemi komt alle drie de dagen in actie.
