Red Bull Racing: "Mark Webber op tijd fit voor Melbourne"

Red Bull Racing heeft er alle vertrouwen in dat het rechterbeen van Mark Webber op tijd hersteld is voor de eerste Grand Prix in 2009. Deze wordt in maart volgend jaar verreden in zijn thuisland Australië.

De breuk is reeds succesvol geopereerd, waardoor het team verwacht dat hij op tijd hersteld zal zijn voor de eerste race van 2009. Wel zal het gevolgen hebben voor Webber's voorbereiding op het seizoen. Red Bull Racing zal hem grotendeels moeten missen tijdens de wintertests.

Webber zou in december meedoen aan de Race of Champions in het Londense Wembley-stadion. De deelname van de Australiër zal begrijpelijkerwijs geen doorgang kunnen vinden.
