Montoya zou zelfs tegen Ferrari of McLaren nee zeggen

Juan Pablo Montoya piekert er niet over om een comeback in de Formule 1 te maken. Scuderia Toro Rosso probeerde de Colombiaan te verleiden tot een terugkeer, maar hij sloeg de aanbieding vriendelijk af. Hij heeft het veel te goed naar zijn zin in Amerika en in de NASCAR om dat in te ruilen voor de Formule 1-wereld.

Zelfs als een topteam aan zou kloppen, zou de in 2006 met Formule 1 gestopte coureur dat afwijzen. Montoya zegt tegen EFE: Ik ben niet geïnteresseerd in een terugkeer naar de Formule 1. Ik heb aanbiedingen gehad, maar ik wil het niet meer. Het leven in Amerika bevalt me prima en ook mijn familie is hier gelukkig. Het is nog geen moment in me opgekomen om opnieuw in de Formule 1 te gaan rijden. Zelfs als Ferrari of McLaren me zouden vragen om terug te keren in die wereld, dan zou ik toch nee tegen ze zeggen.
