Honda let op de kleintjes en blaast medialunch af

De wereldwijde financiële crisis en de kostenbesparing in de Formule 1 zijn ook bij het team van Honda merkbaar. De Japanse renstal heeft de dure medialunch die het aan het einde van elk jaar organiseerde voor dit jaar afgelast. Ongeveer veertig journalisten waren uitgenodigd om in het chique restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons nabij Oxford te lunchen met de bazen van Honda.

De genodigden kregen excuses van Honda Racing-directeur Nick Fry, die bevestigde dat zware economische druk de oorzaak van de afgelasting is. Net als veel anderen is Honda gedwongen om de productie terug te schroeven. Daarom vonden wij het niet gepast om door te gaan met de lunch.
