Mosley niet onder de indruk van FOTA-besparingsplannen

De teams zijn nog niet doordrongen van het belang van kostenbesparende maatregelen voor de Formule 1. De exit van Honda is een waarschuwing, maar de FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) lijkt zich niet bewust van de kritieke situatie. Dat zegt Max Mosley, voorzitter van de internationale autosportbond FIA, na bestudering van de ideeën voor kostenreducties die het teamverband gisteren opstelde.

Op de BBC zegt de Engelsman: Als de teams nu nog niet doorhebben wat er gebeurt, dan is alle hoop op verbetering van hun kant vervlogen. Als de teambazen het voor het zeggen zouden hebben in de Formule 1, dan zou het ene na het andere team failliet gaan en zouden we overblijven met een ongeloofwaardig kampioenschap. Met hun voorstellen tonen ze aan dat ze maar wat doen.
