FIA en FOTA bespreken vandaag toekomst van de Formule 1

De internationale autosportbond FIA en het teamverbond FOTA komen vanmiddag bij elkaar in Monte Carlo om de toekomst van de Formule 1 te bespreken. Daarbij zal het vooral gaan over kostenbesparende maatregelen voor 2009, 2010 en 2011.

De renstallen brengen enkele voorstellen in. Het team van Ferrari meldt in een vooruitblik op de bijeenkomst met de FIA: Wij zijn zeer tevreden over de harmonieuze relatie tussen de teams, want dat is fundamenteel voor een overeenkomst.

Daarbij houden we wel de unieke aard van de Formule 1 in onze achterhoofd. Deze sport moet een technologische en sportieve competitie tussen de deelnemers blijven. Met deze intentie hebben we de zorgen van de teams weg kunnen nemen.
