Bourdais op zoek naar geld om stoeltje te redden

Sebastien Bourdais merkt op dit moment ook de gevolgen van de financiële crisis. De Fransman is op zoek naar geldschieters om zijn stoeltje bij Scuderia Toro Rosso te redden, maar het bedrijfsleven staat niet te springen om geld te investeren.

Bourdais deelde aan Auto Motor und Sport mede: Ik sta op de uitkijk, maar in de huidige economische situatie is het moeilijk om geld los te peuteren, en niet alleen in Frankrijk. Er gaan veel verhalen, maar feit is dat je ook in Japan geen geld op de straat zal vinden.

De Fransman doelt daarmee op de geruchten dat zijn concurrent voor het Scuderia Toro Rosso-zitje, de Japanner Takuma Sato, wel over een aanzienlijk budget zou beschikken. Beide heren strijden deze week bij de test in Jerez voor een plek bij de Italiaanse renstal.
