Buemi wil Button als teamgenoot bij Scuderia Toro Rosso

Sebastien Buemi is zo goed als zeker van een racestoeltje bij Scuderia Toro Rosso voor volgend seizoen. De strijd om het tweede zitje lijkt te gaan tussen Takuma Sato en Sebastien Bourdais. Buemi heeft liever iemand anders als stalgenoot.

De Zwitser onthulde in de Zwitsers krant Blick: Ik hoop op een sterke teamgenoot in 2009. Wat dat betreft zou Jenson Button de beste optie zijn. Bij de test in Barcelona lag ik drie tienden achter op Bourdais en Sato, maar in Jerez had ik die ervaren coureurs onder controle.

Deze week test ik morgen en woensdag samen met Sebastian Vettel voor Red Bull Racing. Dat is mooi vergelijkingsmateriaal. In november was ik twee tienden langzamer, maar ik ben nu in een betere vorm en heb meer ervaring opgedaan.
