Mercedes: "Kostenbesparingen gaan gepaard met banenverlies"

Mercedes-motorsportbaas Norbert Haug heeft de verwachting van Max Mosley, voorzitter van de internationale autosportbond FIA, dat teams genoodzaakt zijn om personeel te laten gaan, bevestigd. De kostenbesparende maatregelen leiden zonder twijfel tot banenverlies.

Haug vertelde in de Frankfurter Rundschau: De aangekondigde kostenreducties zullen niet zonder banenverlies voorbij gaan. De nieuwe regels moet volgend jaar voor dertig procent lagere budgetten zorgen, in 2010 dienen de teams het met de helft van de huidige begroting te kunnen doen.
