McLaren: "Binnen drie jaar terug naar Noord-Amerika"

Het Formule 1-circus reist volgend jaar niet af naar Noord-Amerika. Sinds de verwijdering van de Grand Prix van Canada heeft dat continent geen plek op de kalender meer. En dat terwijl de Noord-Amerikaanse markt zeer belangrijk is voor de autofabrikanten. Daarom wordt achter de schermen ook hard gewerkt aan een oplossing.

McLaren-teambaas Ron Dennis zegt over de stand van zaken: We zijn echt heel druk op zoek naar een model wat wel werkt. We hebben de oplossing alleen nog niet gevonden. Dat betekent echter niet dat we het opgeven. We verwachten absoluut binnen drie jaar weer een race in Noord-Amerika op de kalender te zien. We laten Noord-Amerika niet in de steek.
