Ferrari heeft noodscenario voor introductie KERS

Het team van Ferrari gaat er niet vanuit dat ze het seizoen zonder KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) aanvangen, maar heeft toch een noodscenario liggen. Een andere versie van de nieuwe auto wordt ingezet als KERS niet functioneert zoals het hoort voor de eerste race.

Dat vertelde technisch directeur Aldo Costa aan Gazzetta dello Sport. Het doel is om in Melbourne te arriveren met een functionerend en competitief KERS, maar we hebben ook een plan B. Niet een compleet andere auto, maar een versie zonder het systeem.

Motorenbaas Gilles Simon voegde toe: We zijn laat met KERS. We hebben een hybride Formule 1-auto voorbereid om het te testen, maar het systeem is nog niet klaar. In februari weten we meer over hoe we naar de eerste Grand Prix toe zullen werken.
