FOTA wil meer zeggenschap over circuits en geldverdeling

De pogingen van de teams om meer geld uit de televisiepot los te peuteren gaan succes opleveren. Dat zegt Luca di Montezemolo, voorzitter van teamverbond FOTA. De renstallen dringen al jaren aan op een groter deel van de inkomsten, maar commerciële baas Bernie Ecclestone wil niet hoger gaan dan een bepaald percentage. De teams stellen niet langer prijs op het dictatorschap van de Engelsman.

Di Montezemolo zegt op autosport.com: Ik ben vrij optimistisch. Als we doorgaan op de ingeslagen weg, dan kunnen we resultaten boeken. Elk bedrijf moet in de huidige omstandigheden kosten besparen, maar ook de opbrengsten vergroten. Daar moeten wij nog aan werken en we gaan de toekomst bespreken met Bernie Ecclestone en Donald MacKenzie van CVC Capital. We hebben een contract met hen tot 2012 en we dienen de situatie te bespreken. Eerst gaan we de plannen voor kostenreducties voor de komende drie jaar afronden, daarna beginnen we aan een nieuw boek.

Waar het ons ook om gaat, is een beter inzicht in de verdeling van het geld te krijgen. Want om de toegangskaarten goedkoper te maken moet dat duidelijk zijn. Daarnaast hebben we nog de kwestie van traditionele circuits en exotische banen met een mooie skyline. We willen meepraten over die aspecten van de show. We zijn niet langer bereid om ons dat op een dictatoriale manier op te laten leggen van buitenaf zonder dat wij controle kunnen uitoefenen.

De teams stellen niet langer prijs op het dictatorschap van de Engelsman. Juist, dus weer meer Europese circuits en de tickets goedkoper. Bernie heeft veel voor deze sport gedaan, maar mag best wel met iets minder genoegen nemen.

Dus geen eigen nieuwe raceklasse, maar gewoon het zeggenschap over de huidige formule overnemen en naar je hand zetten! Gaan we niet linksom, dan rechtsom. Geweldig!!!
Soms kan politiek ook leuk zijn....

ik geloof dat ferrari het minst mag klagen , ik begreep dat zij 80milj. extra meer betaalt krijgen dan de andere teams
