Vrouwelijke coureur vastgelegd voor Formule 2

Het veld voor het opnieuw in leven geroepen Formule 2-kampioenschap van volgend jaar begint aardig vorm te krijgen. De grid is nu aangevuld met een vrouwelijke coureur, namelijk Natacha Gachnang. De 21-jarige Zwitserse is een nichtje van Red Bull Racing-testcoureur Sebastien Buemi.

Gachnang: Ik ben verguld met deze kans in de Formule 2. Iedereen praat over de test voor Williams die je krijgt als je de titel pakt, maar voor mij is dat een bonus. Ik zie vooral een mooie uitdaging in de hevige competitie die de Formule 2 belooft te worden. Dit is een grote stap voorwaarts ten opzichte van de Formule 3 en men verwacht misschien dat ik het moeilijk ga krijgen, maar ik ga de uitdaging graag aan.
