Rosberg: "Prestaties nieuwe FW31 zijn veelbelovend"

Nico Rosberg sloot de enige droge testdag van deze week op het Algarve Motor Park af als snelste 2009-auto. De Williams-coureur duldde alleen Sebastien Buemi in de Scuderia Toro Rosso van 2008 voor zich. Dat belooft veel goeds voor de Britse renstal.

Rosberg houdt ook een goed gevoel over aan zijn eerste kennismaking met de FW31. Dinsdag was het erg nat, maar mijn tweede dag was droog en verliep positief. Ik verbrak het record van meeste op één dag afgelegde kilometers met een Formule 1-auto en dat met een nieuwe auto. Dat is bemoedigend en een compliment voor het team. We werkten ons testprogramma af en konden enkele essentiële afstellingsaspecten uitproberen. Zodoende leerden we meer over de nieuwe auto. De eerste prestaties van de FW31 zijn veelbelovend, maar het is nog te vroeg om ergens conclusies aan te verbinden.
