Spa-Francorchamps niet bezorgd over mogelijk verlies ING

Het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps moet wellicht op zoek naar een nieuwe titelsponsor voor de Grand Prix van België. De Nederlandse bank ING was afgelopen seizoen verbonden aan de Formule 1-race bij onze zuiderburen, maar de multinational verkeert in zwaar weer door de kredietcrisis en kondigde al bezuinigingen op de Formule 1-sponsoring aan.

Bij Spa-Francorchamps zijn ze niet bang om zonder hoofdsponsor te komen zitten. Circuitdirecteur Andre Maes: We hebben niets te vrezen. We hebben geen contract met ING, maar met het bedrijf dat alle reclame verzorgt. Onze grootste zorg is dat ING niet net als in 2008 ruim 3.000 kaarten voor klanten en partners reserveert.
