Toch Formule 1-tests tijdens het seizoen

De nieuwe reglementen voor 2009 zorgen voor diverse problemen voor de Formule 1-teams, zo is afgelopen weken duidelijk geworden. F1Today.nl kan exclusief onthullen dat het testreglement voor 2009 toch aangepast zal worden na aanhoudende druk van de teams.

Door de nieuwe reglementen zouden de teams als kostenreductie gezamenlijk moeten testen en mogen er in feite geen privétests meer plaatsvinden. Van de vijf geplande groeptests zullen de teams pas tijdens de vierde en vijfde groeptest daadwerkelijk gezamenlijk op een circuit testen, in Jerez en Barcelona begin maart.

Naast deze problemen zijn er ook ontwikkelingsproblemen gekomen voor de teams. Vrijwel alle teams zullen het seizoen niet starten met KERS. Het probleem met de nieuwe reglementen is echter dat er niet getest mag worden gedurende het seizoen, waardoor de ontwikkeling van KERS vrijwel volledig stil zal komen te liggen.

Het verbod is niet opgelegd door de internationale autosportbond FIA, maar een voorstel van de teams zelf, verenigd in de FOTA. Om het testverbod terug te draaien moeten alle teams het unaniem eens zijn om toch tijdens het seizoen te testen. Dit lijkt nu te gaan gebeuren, waarbij er naar verluidt drie tot vijf tests tijdens het seizoen plaats zullen gaan vinden. De onvrede is duidelijk te merken. De test in Portimao is letterlijk in het water gevallen en met slechts vier a vijf tests voor het seizoen begint is er weinig tijd voor ontwikkeling.

Wat nu als er een klein team niet akkoord gaat.
Dan zijn dus de \"Grote\" teams het klosje.
Een klein team zal zijn auto niet zoveel sneller kunnen maken om vooraan te rijden, en die hebben geen geld om extra te testen dus fijn tegen stemmen

  Jij hebt het wel over \'extra\' testen maar de echt kleine teams zullen sowieso al heel weinig getest hebben. Ik geloof dat Forza India pas in maart met de nieuwe auto op de proppen komt. Ook voor zo\'n team is het toch wel prettig om gedurende het seizoen toch te kunnen testen.
