Dennis: "Formule 1 blijft interessant voor sponsors"

Het vertrek van ING is niet het startschot van een ware exodus van sponsors uit de Formule 1. De koningsklasse van de autosport blijft een interessante manier voor multinationals om reclame te maken. Die boodschap komt van McLaren-teambaas Ron Dennis, op de dag dat bekend werd dat Renault op zoek moet naar een nieuwe hoofdsponsor.

Dennis vertelde aan autosport.com: Ik wil van deze gelegenheid gebruikmaken om te benadrukken dat de Formule 1 nog steeds een uitermate goede manier van sponsoring is, wat de betrokken bedrijven veel teruggeeft voor hun investering. ING meldt ook in hun verklaring dat de samenwerking met Renault op een groot succes is uitgelopen, en dat de huidige economische situatie debet is aan het vertrek. Onder de vlag van de FOTA zullen wij als teams de krachten bundelen om voor onze partners optimaal waar voor hun geld te bieden.
