Kyle Busch staat open voor Formule 1-avontuur

De naam van Kyle Busch valt steeds vaker als het gaat om mogelijke rijders voor het nieuwe USF1-project. De NASCAR-ster zelf ziet dat wel zitten. De 23-jarige Amerikaan wil best zijn grenzen verleggen om te zien waar zijn limiet ligt, maar voorlopig blijft hij in de NASCAR actief.

Busch: Het is wel iets waar ik absoluut een poging in wil wagen. Hopelijk krijg ik een kans om een Formule 1-auto te besturen om te zien of ik er goed in ben. Het is nu echter nog niet de tijd. Eerst wil ik hier kampioen worden, dan een paar jaar Formule 1 rijden en vervolgens weer terugkeren naar Amerika.

Ik denk dat het makkelijker is om de overstap naar Formule 1 te maken dan andersom. NASCAR-autos hebben minder downforce, minder grip, meer gewicht, minder technische snufjes en ga zo maar door. Het lijkt me makkelijker aanpassen aan een hele goede auto, dan aan een wagen die minder goed op de weg ligt.
