Doornbos telt de dagen naar zijn eerste IRL-race af

Robert Doornbos kan niet wachten op de start van het IRL-seizoen. De Newman/Haas/Lanigan-coureur heeft na de tweedaagse test op Sebring nog een test op Barber Motorsports Park voordat het seizoen begint in St. Petersburg op 5 april.

Doornbos: Het was goed om weer op de baan te verschijnen na een dag zonder actie en met veel analyse. In de ochtend waren we echt in de zone, met snelle tijden laag in de 53. Alles ging zo goed dat we rond lunchtijd al bijna al onze toegestane kilometers hadden verbruikt. Daarom namen we een korte pauze en na de lunch reden we nog twee runs voordat we ermee stopten. Het was goed om samen met Graham Rahal te rijden en informatie uit te wisselen. Ik kijk uit naar de test op Barber en dan begint het aftellen van de dagen naar de eerste race echt. Ik kan niet wachten om weer te beginnen.
