Toyota dankt aanwezigheid in Formule 1 aan Panasonic

Dat Toyota dit jaar op de Formule 1-grid staat heeft het team vooral te danken aan hoofdsponsor Panasonic. Dat stelde teambaas Tadashi Yamashina in Yomiuri Shimbun. De Japanse renstal is de geldschieter daar dankbaar voor.

Yamashina: Ik was extreem blij toen Panasonic aankondigde het contract met ons te verlengen, ondanks de financiële moeilijkheden die ook zij hadden. Het begrip van Panasonic van wat wij aan het doen zijn stelde ons in staat om door te gaan met racen.
