Honda-team verandert definitief in Brawn GP

Het Honda-team heeft nu officieel de naam Brawn GP meegekregen. De World Motor Sport Council van de internationale autosportbond FIA stemde in met de naamswijziging. Dat maakte het beslissingsorgaan vandaag bekend.

In een verklaring meldt de World Motor Sport Council: Het Honda-team diende een verzoek in voor een naamswijziging naar Brawn GP. Wij accepteren dit verzoek met als beweegreden dat dit in feite een nieuw team is. De renstal had een contract met de FIA om deel te nemen als Honda, maar dat is niet meer mogelijk. De betaling die staat voor een nieuwe deelnemer is opgeschort.
