BMW Sauber: "Wij geven onze doelstellingen nog niet op"

2009 zou het jaar van BMW Sauber moeten worden. De Duitse renstal had in het jarenplan opgesteld dat dit het seizoen van de gooi naar de titel moest worden. Vooralsnog komt er weinig terecht van die ambitieuze doelen, maar teambaas Mario Theissen weigert de handdoek in de ring te gooien.

Tegenover persbureau SID zegt de Duitser: We zijn zeker niet content met onze seizoensstart, maar we geven onze doelstellingen niet op na de derde van zeventien Grands Prix. We moeten eerst begrijpen wat de tekortkomingen van onze auto zijn en van daaruit grote stappen voorwaarts maken. De achterstand is te overbruggen.
