McLaren gaat beschuldigingen niet aanvechten

De World Motor Sport Council buigt zich aanstaande woensdag over de leugens van McLaren na afloop van de Australische Grand Prix. Het achterhouden van cruciale data in Melbourne heeft mogelijk nog verdere consequenties dan de diskwalificatie van de betreffende race. De Britse renstal zal de beschuldigingen niet aanvechten.

Dat liet teambaas Martin Whitmarsh weten. Hij gaat ook alleen, zonder advocaten, naar de hoorzitting. Ik ben inderdaad de enige die daarbij aanwezig is namens McLaren. Maar ik moet nog advies inwinnen bij de stakeholders en de FIA. Het is geen gecompliceerde zaak. Wij kiezen ervoor om de beschuldigingen niet aan te vechten en dat maakt het proces simpeler.
