VT3: Ferrari domineert vrije training

Felipe Massa en Kimi Raikkonen hebben de derde vrije training voor de Grand Prix van Spanje dominant afgesloten. De Ferrari-coureurs eindigden bovenaan de tijdenlijst voor het team van Brawn GP.

Kimi Raikkonen meldde gisteren na de vrije training aan de pers in Spanje dat Ferrari het gat met de top heeft weten te dichten. Vooralsnog lijkt Raikkonen gelijk te krijgen. Achter de twee Ferrari-coureurs stonden Button en Barrichello op plaats 3 en 4. Kubica, Trulli, Hamilton, Glock, Buemi en Alonso maakten de top 10 vol.

Nick Heidfeld crashte met zijn nieuwe BMW Sauber in de bandenstapels en beschadigde met nog een half uur te gaan de voorkant van zijn wagen. Dit betekende het einde van zijn vrije training.
