Michael Schumacher staat achter dreigement Ferrari

Oud Formule 1-coureur Michael Schumacher steunt Ferrari in het standpunt om de Formule 1 te verlaten als er niks aan de reglementen voor 2010 verandert. De Duitser won in dienst van de Italiaanse renstal vijf van zijn in totaal zeven wereldtitels en voorziet het team tegenwoordig van adviezen. Hij toont begrip voor de houding van de Ferrari.

Ik ben het compleet eens met het team, begint Schumacher in de Spaanse krant Marca. Ferrari is zeer belangrijk voor de Formule 1 en het wereldkampioenschap zou tot een tweederangs competitie verworden zonder Ferrari. Er moet een oplossing mogelijk zijn waarbij het team voor de sport behouden blijft. Formule 1 zonder Ferrari is ondenkbaar voor mij.
