Pantano: "Kansen op Formule 1-zitje nemen toe door extra teams"

Giorgio Pantano heeft een Formule 1-rentree nog niet uit zijn hoofd gezet. Sterker nog, de Italiaan ziet zijn kansen toenemen door de toetreding van nieuwe renstallen. Pantano pakte vorig jaar de GP2-titel, maar maakte in tegenstelling tot zijn voorgangers niet de overstap naar de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Mocht een comeback in de Formule 1 ooit nog van de grond komen, dan moet dat in 2010 gebeuren. Pantano vertrouwde GPWeek toe: De toetreding van nieuwe teams geeft mij de grootste kansen om weer in de Formule 1 te komen. Ik sta in contact met sommige renstallen die toe willen treden. Het is nog twee weken afwachten op welke teams toegelaten worden. Ik kan wel verklappen dat Campos Racing een van de teams is waar ik mee gesproken heb.
