Superleague Formula: Pantano tekent bij Al-Ain

Regerend GP2-kampioen Giorgio Pantano heeft onderdak gevonden voor het seizoen 2009. De Italiaan maakt de overstap naar de Superleague Formula, waarin hij voor Al-Ain uit zal komen. Het tweede seizoen van de raceklasse die autosport met voetbal combineert begint eind deze maand op het circuit van Magny-Cours.

Pantano: Met veel plezier maak ik bekend dat ik bij Al-Ain getekend heb om het Superleague Formula-seizoen 2009 te rijden. Deze klasse biedt me de uitdaging om het tegen teams en coureurs van topniveau op te nemen en is een kans om mijn carrière in formulewagens voort te zetten. Het wordt een hevige titelstrijd dit jaar, we hebben gezien dat het format uitnodigt tot stevige duels. Ik weet zeker dat ik me thuis ga voelen.
