Heidfeld schrijft ontwerpwedstrijd uit voor helmdesign

BMW Sauber-coureur Nick Heidfeld heeft een prijsvraag uitgeschreven voor het design van zijn helm voor de Grand Prix van Duitsland op de Nürburgring van 12 juli. Iedereen kan meedoen via de website van de Duitser. De winnaar krijgt twee Gold-kaarten voor de Duitse Grand Prix. Na de race gaat de helm naar televisiezender RTL die de helm zal veilen voor het goede doel.

Heidfeld: Het doel van deze competitie is dat mijn fans de vrije hand krijgen om hun artistieke creativiteit te botvieren op de helm die ik op de Nürburgring ga gebruiken. Ik ben altijd op zoek naar leuke nieuwe ideeën. Voor mijn huidige design deed ik inspiratie op bij een snowboarder. Samen met Jens Munser, ontwerper van mijn helmen, kies ik de winnaar. Diegene mag mij persoonlijk mijn nieuwe helm overhandigen vlak voor het begin van de eerste vrije training. Dat lijkt me een mooi moment voor ons beiden.
