Teambaas Toyota overgeplaatst naar Japan

Toyota-teambaas Tadashi Yamashina verricht zijn werkzaamheden voor de Japanse renstal voortaan vanuit Japan. Sinds 2007 runt de Japanner het team vanuit het hoofdkwartier in Keulen, maar later deze week reist hij terug naar Japan om daar vandaan leiding te geven.

Yamashina is wel gewoon van de partij bij alle races, zo weet Autosport te melden. De reden voor de overplaatsing is niet duidelijk. Gespeculeerd wordt dat het te maken heeft met de aanstaande benoeming van Akio Toyoda als president van Toyota Motor Company.
