Renault informeert leveranciers over mogelijke Formule 1-exit

Het team van Renault heeft haar leveranciers via een brief gemeld dat het geen garanties over Formule 1-deelname in 2010 kan bieden. De Franse renstal raadt de externe partners zelfs aan om op zoek naar andere klanten te gaan om de continuïteit van hun bedrijf te waarborgen.

Motorsport-total.com wist beslag te leggen op de brief, waarvan de inhoud bestaat uit: Door de huidige uitdagingen kan Renault Sport niet zeker zijn van de eigen lange termijn. Renault Sport moet niet alleen terug in activiteit en budget, maar kan in het slechtste geval zelfs beslissen om niet mee te doen aan het wereldkampioenschap Formule 1 van 2010, zoals eerder al aangegeven door Bernard Rey en Flavio Briatore.

Gezien deze context en om verlies van volume te voorkomen raden we jullie aan om elke door jullie noodzakelijk gevonden maatregel te nemen om het voortbestaan van jullie bedrijf veilig te stellen. Daarbij kunnen jullie denken aan alternatieve cliënten, andere markten of differentiatie.
