Team Lotus: "Group Lotus was op de hoogte van onze plannen"

De inschrijving van Litespeed voor het wereldkampioenschap Formule 1 van 2010 onder de noemer Team Lotus is na overleg met Group Lotus gedaan. Het moederbedrijf van de autofabrikant meldde in een verklaring juridische stappen te overwegen om de naam te beschermen.

Autosport heeft echter van een bron binnen Team Lotus vernomen dat Group Lotus volledig op hoogte was van de plannen. We hebben Lotus volledig geïnformeerd over onze intenties en zijn ons terdege bewust van de noodzaak om het imago van het merk Lotus eer aan te doen. We willen de banden met Lotus graag aanhalen.
