Gesprekken over rentree Canadese Grand Prix nog altijd gaande

De onderhandelingen om de Grand Prix van Canada in ere te herstellen zijn nog steeds gaande, zo melden Canadese media. Normand Legault, voormalig promotor van het evenement, liet persbureau CP weten dat de kans aanzienlijk is dat Montreal in 2010 weer op de Formule 1-kalender staat.

Burgemeester Gerald Tremblay is al sinds de verwijdering van de Canadese race van het schema in gesprek met Bernie Ecclestone. De lokale overheid wordt ook betrokken in de onderhandelingen, aangezien die garant zou willen staan voor tien miljoen dollar als de Grand Prix terugkeert naar Montreal.
