Button: "Liever de wereldtitel dan winst op Silverstone"

Branw GP-coureur Jenson Button reist in blakende vorm af naar Silverstone voor zijn thuisrace. De Brit won zes van de zeven voorgaande Grands Prix. Zijn fans koesteren vanzelfsprekend hooggespannen verwachtingen.

Button zelf is meer met het grotere doel, het wereldkampioenschap, bezig. De Brawn GP-rijder geeft aan veel tegenstand van zijn teamgenoot Rubens Barrichello te verwachten. Rubens is een geduchte tegenstander op elk circuit, zo is het gewoon. Als hij mij zondag verslaat, dan zij het zo. Als ik de wereldtitel pak zonder winst op Silverstone, dan zal ik daar geen traan om laten.
