Raikkonen volgt Ferrari naar alternatieve serie

Kimi Raikkonen laat zijn toekomst afhangen van zijn werkgever Ferrari. De Fin heeft nog een contract tot eind 2010 bij de Italiaanse renstal en is bereid om net als zijn team de Formule 1 de rug toe te keren. Raikkonen volgt Ferrari naar welke serie dan ook.

Het team gaat ergens anders racen en ik heb een contract bij dit team, dus ik ga racen waarin zij me willen inzetten, begint de wereldkampioen van 2007. Natuurlijk willen we in de Formule 1 blijven, maar dan wel in een adequate Formule 1 met passende regels.

Het is ook niet aan ons coureurs. Er speelt momenteel veel. Ik race waar mijn team gaat racen. Is dat Formule 1, dan mooi. Zo niet, dan is het ergens anders. De Formule 1 is de koningsklasse van de autosport, daarom zit ik hier en het zou jammer zijn als dat verloren gaat.
