Archeologische vondst zit bouw Frans Formule 1-circuit dwars

De Franse hoop om in de nabije toekomst weer een Grand Prix te mogen organiseren heeft opnieuw een knauw gekregen. Nadat Magny-Cours niet goed genoeg bevonden werd en Disneyland onhaalbaar bleek ging de aandacht naar een nieuw circuit bij Flins-Les-Mureaux.

De krant Le Parisien bericht nu echter dat op de plaats waar de nieuwe baan moest verrijzen een historische plek is ontdekt die maar liefst 13.000 jaar oud is. De archeologische vondst staat de bouw van een nieuw Formule 1-circuit vanzelfsprekend in de weg. Het is onduidelijk hoe het nu verder moet met de oplevering van de Formule 1-baan.
